Security within prisons and detention centres is of paramount importance. All elements within the building structure need careful attention to ensure the risk of prisoner escape or danger to themselves or other inmates is significantly reduced.

Dove offer a range of quality products designed specifically for use in prisons, detention centres, rehabilitation centres, or juvenile holding centres.

Our range of doors, windows and grilles are used in a variety of establishments throughout Great Britain and Ireland, and due to the particular emphasis required on security these have been assessed, tested and formally approved by the British Home Office, Prisons' Department and the Irish Department of Justice.

CELL DOOR
40/50mm thick door leaf manufactured from two skins of 2.0mm (14 ga.) thick mild steel. Doors are internally stiffened with mild steel hollow sections, insulated and sound deadened with medium density rockwool. Doors are hinged using concealed case hardened pivot points at both top and bottom of the door leaf. Doors are prepared to accept Chubb prison locking systems (for security reasons generally supplied and fitted by Client) Door frame is fitted with a removable stop ensuring the Officer can access the cell even if blockaded from within. Door edges are bevelled for ease of operation and close fit. Doors are fitted with narrow vision panels (either vertical or horizontal) with bevelled glazing stop providing full vision of the cell unit from outside.
Vision panel fitted with privacy flap externally. Doors are fitted with inundation point to facilitate water hose connection for 'cooling off unruly occupant. British Home Office and Department of Justice approved.

CELL WINDOW
Steel framed window system Hot dipped galvanised to BS EN ISO 1461Glazed with scratch and impact resistant polycarbonate. Anti-ligature glazing tape and steel/aluminium glazing bead secured with security clutch head fixings.
Opening sashes can be included complete with opening restrictor, and fitted with Prison standard handles and fully welded hinges. Windows can be fitted with integral pressed metal cill and head fitted drip bar for additional weathering protection. Windows secretly fixed into structural opening with security type fixing screws. Manufactured to British Home Office and Irish Department of Justice accepted standards.

GRILLE GATES
Mild steel construction Hollow section frame Leaf constructed from 65 x 12mm flat horizontal
bars holed to accept 32mm diameter solid round vertical bars, fully welded. Gate leaf hinged on top and bottom security pivots designed to be non-removable in closed position. Gate prepared to accept Chubb prison locking system (for security reasons generally supplied and
fitted by Client) Available in single or double gate leaf arrangement with or without overhead or side panels. Manufactured to British Home Office and Irish Department of Justice accepted standards
