Stainless Steel Windows
Nature's
design "patents" form the basis of innovative high-tech systems
using the absolute minimum of material even for the framing of large
glazing areas.
Advanced section systems in metal combinations of steel and stainless
steel offer the optimum solution for all the requirements of modern
architecture.
Systems
that can open up a world of creative freedom to designers of transparent
metal glass structures. Whether facades or roof glazing, doors, partitions
or windows - the perfectly coordinated SS-RP systems lends itself to
the most unusual and individual design solutions.
Streamlined
fabrication, high durability and energy effectiveness combine to make
the SS-RP system particularly economical - and safe.
Steel and
stainless steel are materials that meet all requirements of stability,
smoke and fire protection, thermal
and noise insulation and protection against burglary
as well as the opportunity to create dramatic effects.
With its
outstanding insulating properties - 1.3 W/m² K - the SS-RP system
optimally fulfills all the legal requirements concerning lagging and
saving energy. The value for the whole element lies well below 1.7 W/(m2
K) and is clearly better than bridged steel systems
On the basis of proven steel profiles, SS-RP offers extremely economical
energy saving windows.
During
the fabrication of the 6 m long sandwich profiles the external and internal
stainless steel shells are connected to a FFC-free polyurethane thermal
insulating block. This connection is made under high pressure and a
relatively high temperature. The resulting massive and solid thermal
insulating block has already all the functional profile grooves necessary
for seals and fittings. Finally, the stainless steel surfaces are polished.
The cost-saving
processing of the profiles to finished elements described is just one
of the many advantages the system has. The assembly of the door and
window profiles to make frame elements is extremely easy and quick,
as no special machines or assembly tools are required.
The problem
free assembly of the profiles using corner-connectors (no pressure or
bolts) and easy fixing of the hardware directly into the polyurethane
block result in low fabrication costs of the system.
The L-shaped
corner-connectors are simply inserted into the predrilled holes in the
PU-block. The angle cut is coated with a polyurethane adhesive and then
fixed with clamps whilst drying.
Because
the adhesive is applied to the full surface (not just the steel shells),
the corner-connection is extremely tight and perfectly aligned.
Typical
labour-intensive work on stainless steel frames, such as grinding of
corner joints or finished surfaces, do not have to be carried out with
the SS-RP system. The finish is carried out on 6 m long profiles before
they are cut, and all joints are fitted cleanly.
